"Antenatal care at Midwife House"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Little or no eye contact by rude staff. Made to feel like a piece of meat being told to go here and there. When in appointment (normally late), spoken to like a child with no sense that the midwives are concerned for you or baby. This attitude is carried by all but one midwife I have come across during all my pregnancy. Very disappointing. This is in no way a caring environment for a vulnerable time in a woman's life.

Thank you for your comments about your care in antenatal services at Midwives’ House and I am sorry to hear that your experience has not been satisfactory. It would be helpful if we could have a bit more information so that we can look into the issues that you have raised and I would encourage you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 020 3299 3601 or email PALS at kch-tr.PALS@nhs.net
