"The attention recieved was otstanding."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

On Saturday 18th June my Husband, Gregory Surtees visited A&E at Leicester Royal Infirmary. My Husband, who previously has had problems with his spine was having difficulty walking The attention we received was excellent. We were seen quickly . A very thorough set of details were taken from my husband by the sister on reception, we were then taken through to the minor injuries clinic. we were initially seen by a clinical aid who was kind caring and efficient, we were then seen by a nurse and then by a an other nurse who had a specialist brief, they then asked the doctor to look at my husband, who requested an x-ray. My Husband was then taken down for X-ray, . The doctor was able to make a diagnosis . At all times the staff were brilliant! people explained what they were doing and why. We were treated with care and respect.

I would like to say how much we both appreciated the care and professionalism of all the A&E team. Thank you!

Dear Mrs Surtees, thank you for taking the time to review Emergency Services at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Your comments have been circulated to the teams involved in your husband's care.

We are delighted that you had a very positive experience from assessment through to x-ray and treatment.

We hope your husband continues to recuperate.

Best wishes, Communications Team, Leicester's Hospitals.
