"Letter of gratitude"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

Following a fall in the garden in early March, I was admitted through A & E and what followed was a horrific time for not only myself but others close to me.

Thanks to the consultant and their team alongside numerous other specialists I am now progressing and on the mend. The care I received was outstanding.

I want to particularly say thank you to the nursing staff team on Nason Ward who looked after not only me but my wife also so exemplary through so many weeks full of worry, stress and tears. Particularly the nurses on the night I was taken ITU who supported my wife and what was an extremely emotional time for her. We both feel we have made friends and I especially felt I was made to feel ‘at home’ as much as possible. The team care so much for the individual and we are so very grateful for all that they have done and do for us and others.

In our experience, a team to be truly proud of.

I am pleased that you are on the mend following your fall and that both you and your family received the support needed.

I have forwarded your comments to Nason Ward, ITU and A&E.

Kind regards

Christine Longstaff on behalf of the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust
