I visited the PRUH A&E on Monday morning 13 June with an eye complaint expecting to be there some time to be seen and allocated an appropriate time in the car park.
I was seen by the streaming nurse within 15mins and then called by the doctor within a further 10 mins who checked my condition and diagnosed a sub conjunctival haemorrhage that would clear up in 7-10 days which seems to be happening.
I was very happily surprised at the time taken to be processed and seen by the doctor and completed within half an hour and had alleviated any concerns in my eye health having already suffered a detached retina.
All staff were very courteous, professional and efficient.
It was disconcerting that a member of the public was talking aggressively and in a demanding way to the streaming nurse when they couldn't get what they wanted and didn't want to follow the procedure. The nurse dealt with the situation professionally and didn't react or change their manner in dealing with the member of public with the unacceptable behaviour.
"Very Efficient A & E"
