"Renal attack visit"

About: St Albans City Hospital

During a recent accutly painful and acute renal pain attack, when a kisney stone too large to pass got stuck in the exit from the kidney, i presented at St Albans urology dept.

They were so caring and understanding, but more importantly they fitted me is straight away.

The wonderful well oiled team scanned the kidneys to get a picture of what was happening, they explained everything to me and due to my pain levels they made sure my husband was fully included in the process too.

I then saw the main doctor and they again explained what had happened and what the doctor felt my options might be.

I came away feeling reassured and well informed.
