"Lack of liason"

About: Mulberry Centre

My mother passed away last September 2015. She had been under the mulberry clinic with Dementia.

I was always close to Mum. Over a period of time I noticed a mental deterioration in her. In what was to become a very distressful time I do not feel I had the advice and support that I needed to help not only myself but also Mum.

Thank you for taking the time to share your views at this difficult time for you. I was very sorry to read about your recent experience of the Mulberry Centre and in particular the Dementia service. I am really sorry that being involved with our services has not been as good as it could have been. I would like to have some further information from you in order to request that this matter is looked into more closely. I will share your comments with the team manager providing the care for your mum, so that they are aware that in your mind not all was offered that could have made the whole experience more bearable both for your mum and yourself. If you would like the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, PALS, to look into this further, please could you provide the full name and address of your mum along with her date of birth.

Please accept my condolences at this very sad time.

Karen Howard-Grenville (PALS)
