I arrived at the hospital at 07.45 for my operation and registered. It was only a short time before I was called through to be prepared for the op. Once I had gone through I was treated as a VIP moved around in a wheelchair dressed in the hospital gear ready for the op which included a gown, hat and special boot covers. A dedicated nurse asked me questions about my name, address and D of B to verify that I was the person on their list. The nurse also explained the procedure and informed me that the surgeon would see me shortly.
The surgeon repeated the checks once more and then marked the eye ready for the op. Another member of their team then wheeled me into theater. The operation only took around 10 minutes and I was then returned to the cubicle. The dedicated nurse came back and explained the procedure for me to follow once I returned home. This was a fantastic service and I would not hesitate to inform anybody else.
A massive thank you to your whole team !!!
