"Outstanding Staff at Orpington Hospital"

On Thursday 16th June 2016 I attended Orpington Hospital for ankle surgery. From the moment I arrived until I left that same day I received outstanding treatment and service from the many members of staff who attended to me. The teams I met were extremely professional, friendly and open. I came across staff of all levels that helped me whether it was their department/job or not. Thank you for the extremely high level of expertise, and the friendly conversation from an exceptional group of people.

To the staff on McKenzie King Admissions for the warm welcome and preparing me for surgery. All the Theatre staff who were like a well oiled machine of efficiency and skill, with a friendly hello. Thank you my Anaesthetist, Doctors and Surgeons, for your information and for the incredibly skilful and precision work you do for us all. To the recovery team for looking after my care and bringing me round from confusion with a smile and a confident professionalism. To the friendly helpful staff on Quebec ward who were always there going the extra step in their work. I cannot name staff on here but I remember your names !

Thank you to staff I didn't meet, but could see the results of their work in keeping the hospital very clean and well ordered.

And thank you to a manager going home, but who still found time to delay their journey and hold a lift as I slowly made my way down a corridor on crutches.
