What could be improved
unfortunately my experience with my baby was poor. My son was assessed by an seemingly in experienced pedeatric triage nurse who couldn't work out a medicine dosage at one stage! A young baby was then made for four hours screaming in pain. This was extremely distressing. The reception staff were unhelpful when i asked about waiting times. I understand of course that majors are a priority but my baby was completely ignored! Having experience of working in the NHS i am disappointed with the service on all levels, and this is not just coming from a worried parent! I do not normally leave feedback but it was the most dreadful experience. Please review your priorities. I was also told that my son could not be administered medicine because the pharmacy was shut and they would have to get some one out of bed!!!!! As a state of the art hospital why is there not a 24 hour pharmacy? so that left me having to get a perscription in the morning at this was only made as an external script after i had complained!! i was going to have to come back again the next morning specifically to pick up the medicine and pay to park again with a young baby!!! Absolutely dreadful!! to top it all i had to sit in area with blood on the floor for an hour and a half!!
