(as a parent/guardian),

My 17 year old son had a colonoscopy at Wishaw General.

The staff were caring, professional and kept myself and my son informed at all times.

This was a very stressful and worrying experience and the treatment from all staff was excellent. They could not have done more.

My only criticism was that it seemed as though there a lot of people with appointments at the same time and it would have been better if we had less waiting time.

Dear Droya,

Many Thanks for taking the time to post your comments. I am delighted to hear that your experience on the whole was a very positive one. Having a procedure like this can be a very anxious time and especially at such a young age but I am pleased to hear that the staff kept you well informed. We are currently carrying out some improvement work within the unit looking at the flow throughout the whole unit and the concern you have raised will be addressed through this.

I hope your son is recovering well at home
