"Staff in Datchworth are very kind ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as a relative),

What I liked

Staff in Datchworth are very kind and care well for their patients.

What could be improved

Cleanliness. Today, the visitors toilet near Datchworth was broken, so I went to use the one on the 5th floor.  The toilet light pull was very grubby, there was paper all over the floor, the cold tap didn't work, the hot tap wouldn't turn off and the water was scalding and the toilet bowl is cracked. It is no wonder that bugs are passed on when it is hard to wash hands properly immeadiately after using the toilet and toilets are dirty.

We're sorry that this response has taken longer to reach you than we would have liked, but the NHS Choices website service has only just alerted us to your comments. We're also sorry that your experience of the toilet facilities at the QEII was not what we would have liked. We have reported the matter to our estates team at the QEII, asking them to look in to the matter immediately, if not reported already.
