"Nothing"

About: Lister Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing

What could be improved

I was a patient of the maternity ward and it was the worst experience of my life. The midwives & doctors treated me like an idiot & told me I was going to have a stillborn baby when I didn't want to agree with their suggestion to be induced when I went post dates. They refused to have sensible evidence based discussions and tried to use emotional blackmail on me and my husband. My birth experience was awful, we were given little support throughout and advice, where given was confused. We saw a long string of midwives, none of whom worked especially hard to help us realise my birth plan. Post natal care was shocking. I was given no breast feeding support and there were nowhere near enough midwives.
