After an operation to remove a tumour my ovaries and appendix recently. I was discharged in the most insensitive manner the next day and strongly think this should be addressed. At approx 10 am two nurses put me in the side chair and stripped my bed one said surely she is not going home the other replied yea we need the bed. No one addressed me and was left abandoned until 11 when I called over a nurse to ask what was happening, she informed me that she was waiting for the doctor to discharge me. The doctor came did not look at my notes ask me how I was told me about the operation and said they were discharging me. The nurse gave me a new dressing which would fit half my incession I was not offered a wheelchair my soiled gown was left on the bed for the new patient.
Surely it would have been so much nicer for someone to have sat down with me asked how I felt discussed about going home (which I didn't mind doing) giving me some painkillers a wheelchair and a guidence on aftercare.
I am left scared confused and extremely upset. I am in my late sixties
