My father was admitted to QMC through their A&E department with severe stomach pains.
The A&E Doctor - Amber, had the perfect bedside manner and was thorough in diagnosing and explaining her course of action and allayed our fears. (Hope you have a nice holiday in Australia)
After A&E my Father was transferred to the South Wing Ward F20. My Father remained in F20 for nearly three weeks whilst his treatment was conducted and both my Mother and myself visited daily for which we wish to whole heartedly to thank every one on the ward for there compassion, consideration and caring throughout my fathers stay.
We would like to mention a few special individuals which will forever be in our minds, hearts and prays:
Felicity - My Mother's quote describes Felicity best 'She's like a member of the family', regularly just popping over for a chat with a smile and a giggle. Always giving us great encouragement (thumbs up). Any time you fancy a strawberries & cream you know who to call.
Dr Sheila - Always on hand, always made time ever afternoon to explain progress and the next steps in recovery with a smile in a reassuring manner.
Julie - Many thanks for your help in arranging my father discharge and future appointments, although my Father is now an outpatient with your organisation we feel just as cared for as we was on F20.
Tom - Who always called my Father 'his friend' gave comfort and confidence all day long.
Kieran - Always smiling, always happy. Your happiness goes a long long way in caring for people.
Shaz - On one very late evening of visiting whilst waiting for a member of the surgical team your support was so much appreciated and just a simply cuppa tea was heaven.
Sanjay - On the ward 24 hours can seem like eternity, however every couple of hours a friendly smile, a cuppa tea (or orange juice) helps make the day fly by.
On behalf of us all, we would like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful, caring, and respectful staff, nurses and doctors that took excellent care of us all.
"Queens Medical Centre took excellent care of my father"
