Suffering from anxiety for a number of months my G. P. suggested I was put in contact with The Community Mental Health Nursing Team at Annan. I was advised someone would visit me at my home on a regular basis and I was fortunate to be assigned to Jeanie.
From the first visit she talked to me and kept reassuring me that I would get better. The fact that these visits were made to my home also gave me great comfort. She told me I could phone her at the Centre anytime and she would call me back. It gave me a feeling of not being alone and I had someone there for me if needed.
I am so grateful in the way she answered all my questions and her explanations regarding my feelings.
The help and caring nature of Jeanie has certainly helped in my recovery. I will never be able to thank her enough for all the visits she has made and always giving 110 percent of her time and patience.
It has been a struggle handling this illness but I feel I am almost back to my "old self". The attention I received from Jeanie on her visits gave me encouragement and confidence to fight this illness.
"Jeanie gave me encouragement and confidence"
