About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I had a recent stay on ward 2 and ward 9. The whole nursing team are amazing from the minute I arrived at a&e was diagnosed with heart failure. These amazing people looked after me and kept me updated all through my treatment. However, I felt that the heart nurse was really useless - didn't seem to listen to my conerns

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience. I am pleased to hear your comments regarding the nursing team in ward 2 and ward 9. I will ensure these are shared with the teams.

I am however concerned to hear that you felt that the heart failure nurse did not listen to you. I would expect staff to address all issues that you raised and discuss any concerns and anxieties. I apologise that the nurse did not listen to your concerns. In order to learn from this I would like to discuss this further.
