"Maternity assessment unit"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

I visited the maternity assessment unit due to concern about reduced fetal movements. The midwife on the front desk was extremely kind and I was immediately shown to an assessment room, where a friendly second year student began the process of taking my blood pressure and pulse, then putting the heart rate monitor on the baby. The senior midwife was very reassuring, as was another midwife who checked on the monitor. I could not be more satisfied with the excellent care I received and happily all was well with the baby.
