"Crap after service nearly 2 hours away on..."

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Had an Mri here in Feb 2016 waited a month and never heard - rang to be told im on a waiting list and doc will write about results. Never got anything so had to ring my doctor who then had to request the info. Nothing was sent to my doctor who requested the MRI scan. Eventually i get a letter. Told i have to wait 10 months to get appointment at clinic. Next i get a call for an appointment in 6 days. Arrive at reception to be told go to another reception. Went there and checked in. Next my name is called to take me bk to the same dept i went first !!!!! After waiting 45 mins the doctor finally calls me in. Basically tells me what i already know and they will write to my doctor to arrange pain management (already on medication for this)

I asked why i didnt get a letter after my mri but they didnt know. i asked if i could have a copy of my results printed to be told no you have to write to the hospital to request. Bloody stupid as results were on the computer in front of them and would not let me take a photo of what it said. Its my bloody results and my spine for god sake. After 40 mins i leave the hospital feeling deflated. All that way to be told what i already know. This could have been sent in a letter to save a lot of time and expense in travelling. £32 wasted on transport to and from hospital. No wonder there is a long wait for NHS appointments when they waste their own and patients time. Fed up and hope to god i never have to go back there again. Total useless
