I should like to express my gratitude to the staff in the Minor Injuries Unit for the speed and the quality of the treatment I received on May 19 2016.
On that day I cut my lower shin badly and immediately took a taxi to the hospital. I was seen at once by the triage nurse who assessed the damage and treated the wound. The care and expertise with which they "stitched" the jagged cut was outstanding. It must have taken at least 20 minutes and they involved me fully n the process. The clinician on duty also attended and again kept me informed. The result was that one hour after the accident I was ready to leave. I attended once more for a dressing and was then referred to the Croft surgery where the practice nurse called the repair a work of art!
I have now been discharged from the Croft and the result is that three weeks after the accident I have a pencil line of a scar instead of what could have been a very nasty outcome.
Thank you.
