"Left on a wet bed"

About: Springfield Hospital

Recent stay for knee surgery.Noticed low nursing staff numbers increasing pressure on staff on duty.

One nurse stated that it wasn't good for private patients to have so few on duty.

Had spinal anaesthetic, the night of surgery was incontinent, pressed call button, eventually answered by HCA who said they were very busy , would change the sheet but would come back later with help to give me a wash and sort sheets out. They never returned. Lay on wet mattress. Could hear call bells taking a long time to be answered.
