I visited neurosurgery as a very worried mum this week to review 2 MRI scans. I was very anxious. The consultant saw us as soon as the clinic began. What struck me was how kind and patient the consultant was. They were obviously very busy, but very calmly dealt with us and explained everything to us. They even showed us my scan pictures to explain where things were and what the issue was. At no time did I feel like an NHS number, I felt like I was treated as a person. A stressful build up to the appointment was dealt with in the best possible way. I feel we are so incredibly lucky to have our NHS - amazing facilties with such wonderful people working within it.
