"My daughter"

About: Birmingham Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter attended paediatric assessment unit via Solihull hospital and was assessed for 8 hours. She was viewed by various doctors and surgeons and sent home with suspected gastritis although I was concerned that this was not the case. After a further 18 hours I had to once again attend paediatric assessment when my daughter was finally admitted. She eventually had emergency major surgery 4 days after initially attending the assessment unit, having to have a portion of her intestine, a cyst and her appendix removed. An operation that I myself had, and informed the hospital, within the last 10 years. I believe that my daughter was starved, ignored, made to feel a 'drama queen' as was I. This is totally unacceptable and I am looking for answers.
