I was admitted for surgery on the 19th April and operated on that day I was on my feet some two hours later and eating an evening meal with my daughter at 6pm. I had very little pain and thoroughly enjoyed my meal which was made more special because my daughter was able to eat with me, they were very obliging as she has special dietary needs, the meal was delicious, staff were vigilant and checked on me at intervals right through the night, the following day physio-therapy started, this was a very informative and helpful person advising me on the best foods to eat to encourage healthy recovery, I was able to leave hospital within three days and continue with the exercise till my staples were removed two weeks later. I saw my consultant last night and they were delighted with my progress and said I can now drive again after notifying my Insurance company of the surgery, and I won't need any further physio-therapy but keep up the exercises and walking the dog for three miles every day. I am delighted with the way everything has gone, thank you all.
