About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

As a lupus sufferer of many years and only recently having moved to the Blackburn area, I asked my GP to refer me to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, as I had heard such good things about its Rheumatology Department.....and I wasn't disappointed!

This Department is striving to provide medical excellence and inter-personal skills in a practical and understandable way.

The Consultants obviously understand that those patients with arthritis are on a long haul to possible improvement and, sometimes, the waiting is the most difficult aspect to bear.

With the standard of care, kindness and expertise being shown by this Department, I am sure that all the patients feel, at least, reassured, and, at most, hopeful of a comfortable outcome.
