Last week I went to see the Practice Nurse about a cough. I was referred to the GP, who then referred me to the Hospital. I had some blood tests and then a CT scan, and was admitted for the weekend, to undergo some treatment. The whole process was very professional and quick, and all the staff, from the local Practice, to the Hospital and the Ward were very helpful, efficient, and caring. All this in what was also a very busy time. The Ward staff were busy for the full 12 hour shifts, so I don't know they managed to get a breather or a break.
Being in the fortunate position of previously not having to use the services of the NHS, I was somewhat concerned of what would happen to me, but the professionalism and communication from all the staff, put my mind at rest.
"Excellent service"
