Iv not long come out after a 2wk stay for stabilization off co-codamol onto bupronorphine n i owe my life to all on the unit im now how and doing well . The care i received was the highest standard ever the staff reassured me day/nite n explained everything along with treating my withdrawals fully. Iv never liked being away from home but i was fed well and even attended the group sessions which iv never been able to be in a setting in my life. The other patients were so kind to but the staff i cant thank enough for helping me get my life back after four yrs struggling to get off them. I never imagined id ever be clear of them. My health was constantly monitered and the day n night staff treated me with upmost respect n dignity during my stay every aspect of my care was explained to me and my mental health was also seen to whilst there. Iv never seen as many drs psychiatrist etc in years and even though the first week was hell it was made as comfortable as possible for and i wasnt judged one bit by anyone. If ever anyone gets a chance to go into please take it ul never get a better chance to change your life n its all thanks to the wonderful staff n team at the unit my life would be diffeent if id not have gone in wen i did i owe them so much that i will be alive longer now as my body was struggling to cope with the amount of codeine n paracetamol in my system daily so thanku so much chapman barker i owe u my life n il never find words strong enough to express just how much keep up the great work and godbless u all ur all amazing!
