Currently under the "care" of Bolitho House in Penzance for a number of mental health issues (though no thanks to the CMHT I am absolutely confused as to whether I have a personality disorder or not), and I've had nothing but issues with them. During one of my first appointments with my psychiatrist my prior, patently obvious in person diagnosis of autism was questioned (I am an adult woman and they were basing their opinion on information regarding young boys), previously I was ignored, patronised and then promptly dropped by my second CPN, I am currently awaiting my fifth CPN (my current one is apparently going into training though I've had no contact from them other than them leaving me a message in around March -- Phone Anxiety is my main problem as I constantly state), I did a bit of cognitive analytic therapy but it addressed none of my issues, and if you're feeling like topping yourself I wouldn't even bother with out of hours because anyone can tell you to have a bath or read a book! I am a highly vulnerable patient with self harming behaviours, a propensity towards drinking and I have a developmental disorder. I understand the NHS is in a mess as of late but the care is almost non existent, currently totally absent.
Sorry if this is disjointed or flippant but I'm currently having my fifth major crisis in the last 18 months and I honestly wonder if it'll be any day soon I'll be back in Treliske after another suicide attempt.
"I wouldn't bother if I were you."
