"Care received after a road traffic accident"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency Surrey and Sussex

(as a relative),

Following a recent accident, where our father was knocked down in Horley town centre and taken to the Trauma and Resuscitation Unit at East Surrey Hospital, we wish to commend the treatment he received, which was prompt, professional and second to none. The doctors and nurses in this unit were very diligent and attentive and their care and kindness really helped in this distressing situation.

We cannot thank the staff enough, especially the student nurse, Louise, who kept dad cheerful throughout this traumatic incident. We would also like to extend a massive thank you to the emergency services and members of the public who helped our father at the scene.

He is continuing to receive first class follow up care from his local surgery, Wayside.

We hope this letter of appreciation highlights how dedicated the staff are who work within the NHS, and who are often under-valued, and particularly at a time where services are stretched to the limit.

Dear susie96

Thank you very much for your feedback about the emergency treatment that your father received following his accident. I am pleased your father was treated professionally and with kindness, I will share this with the ED team.

I wish your father a speedy recovery.
