"most of the staff were understanding ..."

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

(as the patient),

What I liked

most of the staff were understanding and compationate.

What could be improved

the attitude of some of the staff and the care that u are given to be discussed with you, not to be treated and not told whats going on.

Anything else?

i spent a couple of weeks in the hospital with my sick son during this time he was discharged when he clearly wasnt any better. we returned a day later and his condition had deteriorated alot, different tests were being done then lost, we were not told what was going on, during this time he got worse and was transfered to intensive care in another hospital the care he was given there was well above excellent we were kept informed every step of the way. he was then returned to bedford and was not seen for a number of hours after his return and needed treatment, thankfullky he didnt get any worse but i expected him to be cared for after spending time in intensive care, a week later he was discharged and i made a written complaint as i was so angry i may of overacted a little considering what he went through. when i got a reply they made it sound like i was in the wrong for complaining and that they had done everything in there power but clearly didnt. there was no aploogy and they clearly dont care how the patient feels so there really is no point in making a complaint because you get a letter back from a lady who sits in her office on a chair that does not see what is really going on in this hospital.
