"Raigmore Urology Waiting Times"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I appreciate that the NHS is stretched at the moment but still waiting for an appointment with urology after being referred by GP on the 15th May 2015 - on inquiry I was advised that I can still expect to wait at least another 2 months! ! ! so currently a minimum of 15 months waiting time for a routine appointment - shocking

Dear stillwaitinginsutherland

I am very sorry that you feel so let down by our Urology service. Please be reassured that a clinician will have reviewed your case, and will have made a decision on your waiting time based on the information provided by your GP. Our service is under some pressure at the moment, but I am confident that the team would not compromise the care of a patient. However, if you would like me to look into your case and see if there is anything else that they can do to reduce your time to see a Urologist then please email your personal details to me at katherine.sutton2@nhs.net. If your symptoms worsen please contact your GP as a matter of urgency.
