Amazing pain free experience after major surgery for prolapse repair. I had a spinal as well as General anesthetic and can't believe how easy the whole procedure has been. I had worked myself into a tizzy and my heart rate was through the roof before the operation as I am extremely claustrophobic and somehow had convinced myself I would come round after the General anesthetic and find myself choking on the breathing tube. This of course never happened and I can't remember a single thing. I had 2 anethetists one older and one younger who made me feel completely at ease. The spinal anesthetic was nothing more than a scratch and mild discomfort for a minute or two but made a huge difference post op. Regarding the General anesthetic I must just have drifted away as they were talking to me because I can't remember a thing.
