"18 months and still waiting!"

I have been waiting 18 months for squint surgery and I am still in the dark about the exact procedure due to always seeing a different consultant each time attend, resulting in very different opinions. How can you make someone sign a consent form and accept a list of possible procedural errors when you can't even tell them what the procedure will be! I have had quite a few wasted trips at my expense and suffered long waiting times, resulting in £15 car park bills. I still don't know when surgery will be and I doubt if they do either. I've never felt so let down, so much so that i'm thinking its safer and far less stressful to live with my problems.

We take all issues surrounding patient care and communication very seriously. However, it is very difficult to respond to the concerns you have raised without being able to investigate in detail.
