After all of the bad press Colcheter NHS Trust has been getting the last few years it is ironic that you never hear about the good reports.

I was diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia last year and have had 3-4 monthly checkups since. I arrive an hour before my appointment for bloods which take about 20 minutes for the results to come back and then see my consultant who asks me how I am feeling, does a full analysis of my bloods and also an examination. I am told in non-medical terms i.e. what a normal person can understand what my results mean and I have full trust in the department and team dealing with my case.

The NHS are under extreme pressure and staff do care, just have a bit of common sense when they are struggling as it isn't always their fault!
