"Rude staff nurse"

About: James Paget University Hospital

Sent to A & E by GP after being ill for several days.

Seen by a staff nurse who said your GP should have given you Omoperazole or Lanzoperazole not sent you here.

The nurse obviously had not read my notes as I have been on this medication for years. The nurse then said all you need is a blood test! insinuating there was nothing wrong with me.

Luckly the blood test was not so bias and found there was a problem that needed further investigation.

But this experience made me feel like I was wasting the hospitals time and should not have come when directed by my GP.

This incident was witnessed by another.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent visit to A&E.

I am sorry to hear that your experience was not a positive one.

We would like to investigate this feedback further, however would need further details to enable this to happen and would appreciate if you could contact our PALS department on 01493 453240/452651 to facilitate this.

Kind Regards

Amanda Hood
