"Superb staff and quality care in maternity"

About: East Surrey Hospital

As a first time mum I could not fault the service that I received at East Surrey hospital. My little boy needed 24 hours in the neo natal unit after birth and the staff there were kind, supportive and attentive throughout.

During delivery I was well looked after and the kind words of my midwives were appreciated throughout. One of them even took the time to check on me the day after in their own time: going above and beyond the call of duty. Surgical staff were professional and filled me with confidence throughout and I was looked after around the clock on Burstow Ward by professional and caring staff. Thank you to the countless student midwives who were also superb. This could have been a stressful time for me as a first time mum, but I felt safe, supported and happy throughout my stay. Highly recommend the care at East Surrey.

Dear Cath,

Thank you for taking the time to post your kind comments following the birth of your son. I am delighted that the service was all that you should expect during such an important event in your life.

I will ensure that these are passed onto the staff in the maternity and neonatal units.

Best wishes
