"Saved my Life"

About: Basildon University Hospital

Thought i would just let everyone know what happened to me past few weeks, I felt unwell on the last Friday in April and went to my Dr who was thought i had Mumps and neck swelling on calling an Ambulance the 1st arrived the person was expecting so i had to wait for a 2nd, My Dr wanted me to go to Chelmsford but on route they radio'ed back they did not have isolation for me, Went to A&E Basildon instead and was in East&West wards had 2 Mri, 2 CT& 2 X-rays so many blood tests and my breathing deteriorated quickly and my testicles swelled, Experts took me into ICTU and attempted to sedate me with a struggle but knocked me out Friday Night and I was winched from the floor undressed and put on a bed connected on a Life support Sat, Sun & Monday in Coma condition in a isolation side room, 24hr watch 2 nurses, 100% oxygen, checked for everything and had some experts baffled i was given a less then 20% chance of surviving, I came around Tuesday and was barley conscious and still had tubes in throat, nose, canthata, IV lines in arms, antibiotics, tablets and blood checks hourly, I was on Pureed food only food diet for days and barely slept or rested, I tried to respond to questioning from consultants and was still being checked, Eventually i showed some signs of improving to be moved to Florence nightingale but still in isolation basic tv & radio but staff & visitors had to gown, mask and gloves but started solid food and made more improvements still on on oxygen and tablets, iv lines & drips of antibiotics. It turns out i Had 1 count of Mumps, Swine Flu, Collapsed Lung and a serious Lung infection. I was checked 100% many times before they considered i had made an Amazing recovery and then had start using legs arms again and was finally discharged 2 weeks later. I am safe to approach and touch and pleased to say i feeling better but cant drive at the moment due to not full strengths. Big thanks to the NHS from the porters, cleaners, meal staff who chatted with me to Experts, consutants, Dr's who i entrusted with my life and Mostly the nurses who dealt with my demands God Bless you all.
