"Appointment problem at fracture clinic"

About: Queen's Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

I get a call from the fracture clinic on Monday to confirm my son has an appointment to see a doctor on Friday at 17:10pm.

So we turn up at 16:30 pm on Friday as required. The receptionist then says my sons appointment does not show on her computer. (Computer says no! ). I tell her I was told to come at that date and time. She then looks into the records and it turns the appointment is at 10:05am on that day.

The person who called me to book the appointment obviously has trouble telling the time. As a result I was advised to go to A&E who also turned us away. I finally got an appointment at the fracture clinic for the following Friday. Fingers crossed they have got it right this time round.

Yours Sincerely
