The physiotherapist was positive and competent and achieved a good result with massage and passive exercises. It left me encouraged and hopeful after hand surgery. She gave good advice and overall it was beneficial. The only query would be regarding massage to desensitise the scar tissue. She did not use cream and worked her way across the whole of the scar which was the antithesis of advice given by the hand therapist at Chorley Hospital who insisted I start on good tissue and work gradually on the scar, increasing a little at a time, over days/weeks.
