I was admitted on gate 40 for planned surgery on 29th April 2016. As I was going in for my fourth major oeration I was very nervous and scared as my previous operations had not gone to plan and errors had been made. However the experience was very positive at Pinderfields.
The receptionist on gate 40 greeted me with smile which was very nice. The nurse then called me in and went through my details. I informed them that I was very scared and frightened. The nurse sat down next to me and assured me that everything would go to plan. At all times they were very kind and helpful.
The consultant was also very considerate. They kept me informed and allowed me to make decisions regarding my health. The anesthetist was fab! They assured me not to worry and cheered me up. They put me at ease and helped me calm down. Theatre staff were also amazing. The nurse who walked me to theatre was so kind and sweet they sat next to me and answered all my questions.
Following the surgery I was admitted to ward 34 where the night staff were excellent. They kept an eye on me through out the night making sure I was comfortable. Once I came around the nurses informed me that everything had gone to plan. I looked around to notice the ward was very clean and tidy. Through out the day they provided me with pain relief.
I would also like to thank the porter who was so kind to me. They wheeled me to the front doors of the hospital whilst my sisterinlaw brought the car around. This was very nice of them as they did not leave me on my own.
Over all I would like to thank each and every one at Pinderfields for taking such good care of me. I would recommend this hospital to other patients who are going in for endometriosis surgery.
