"Unncessary and very irritating background music"

I have great respect for the staff at the Surgery and have benefited from help before.

But - I was seriously dismayed to see that the Centre has entered the "dumbing-down" era, and the "nuisance -value" ethos of unnecessary, hateful background noise/music!

I don't know whose idea this was, but it is totally incompatible with distressed, unwell and those waiting anxiously for healthcare!

Many find it irritating, but to those who are ill, anxious and upset - it is totally incongruous and horrible! It does not calm people or make them feel comfortable - just the opposite!

whoever has advised the staff that it does calm people is totally wrong!

The background noise is terrible in shops and restaurants, but seriously incorrect and distressing in a healthcare setting!

Patients weren't asked if they wanted it!

The Centre is not a shop, or a restaurant or a place where such useless and irritating technology becomes intrusive!

Please get rid of it!
