"Clinic 8,wait time."

About: King's Mill Hospital

Escorted my elderly mother for two appointments to clinic 8, eye clinic. The first was Friday the 20/05/2016.Nursing staff were not helpful, giving no indication of the clinic running late and just giving the usual excuses when I made enquires about the delay. My mother was eventually seen by the doctor one hour and twenty minutes after her actual appointment time. We were told by the doctor to make a further appointment on the way out. By which time all the reception staff had left.the second appointment was Tuesday the 24/05/2016,again staff were not forthcoming with information about delays, this time my mother was seen by the doctor Two hours after her actual appointment time, again we were told to make an appointment meant on the way out.Again the reception staff had finished for the day. This surely cannot be acceptable to have to wait over an hour for patients attending this clinic? Also I only learned from reception at the entrance to the hospital that you can claim part of the car parking fee if you encounter these sort of problems. No thanks to staff in clinic 8!!
