"a &e staff rude to patient"

I don't choose to use A&E lightly ....but felt on this occasion i needed to send my child who had fallen on a screw which subsequently penetrated his knee !! He was unable to put weight on his leg so after 2 days and his knee keep giving way i felt it necessary to get it checked ...Reception staff and triag were great . The nurse that attended my son was very rude and patronising and made us feel we were wasting their time. The nurse gritted their teeth and shouted in my sons ear for him to sit up. He was trying to pull himself up but without the force of one of your legs its extremely difficult to pull yourself up the bed from a laying position. I tutted and the nurse pressed and poked his knee about, then told him to straighten his leg and raise it. He was finding this task extremely painful, but the nurse just repeating lift your leg lift your leg. The nurse could see he was in pain, he finally managed to lift it after the nurse repeating themself, the nurse then proceeded to tell him that's all he needed to do - it wasn't that hard was it !! .....The nurse then unwrapped the wound proceeded to tell me treatment asked if he was allergic to anything i said penicillin and the nurse tutted and said oh well that's that then the worst thing to be allergic to!

Then said any problems see your gp and just left the room. Not goodbye that's the way out etc blah blah just left without a word and left me with the paperwork etc ...
