"Eyes rude!"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I was sent here today by my optician and was asked why did I come so late ? I came because I was sent. Nurse very rude. Seemed like the nurse couldn't be bothered with me as they shut At 6.A quick reading test to then be told go to moor fields. Why should I go there when I have a hospital on my doorstep! Disgraceful !

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience. I’m sorry you were not happy with your experience. Our Ophthalmology department is very busy and sometimes has to deal with many patients. The Eye Casualty opens at 8am until 5pm and there is a limit to the amount of patients seen depending on how many Doctors there is available. Moorfields offers a 24 hour a day 7 days a week Emergency service so if our department is at full capacity this is normally where we would advise patients to go if they need to be seen. If you would like to discuss this further please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison service department by calling 01708 435454 or by email to PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk they will be happy to help you in any way they can.

Yours Sincereley

Kathryn Halford

Chief Nurse
