"Dental treatment when highly rated dentist retires."

(as the patient),

After having been patients of the dentists in Gordon Road, West Bridgford, for the last 30 years, the aftermath of their retirement has rocked our family.

We simply could not believe how rudely we were treated by the new dentist who has taken over the practice. The practice manager was unbelievably rude to us, accusing us of being problem patients who did not pay our fees to the 'optional' private dental plan advised by the practice.

This publicly declared information was totally incorrect.

When we formally protested we were blocked by the practice manager and had no call returned by the dentist -- certainly no apology ever made.

We tried to seek assistance from the Dental Commission of Great Britain, and was told that they could not deal with individual cases. As a private dentist they can get away with bad practice, scot free.

I, personally, have been waiting for an appointment for nearly a year to repair a broken tooth.

The care plan only provided a 6 month check up, and clean, then each time I deferred as a 40 minute appointment required.

I have now registered my family with another more professional dentist in West Bridgford.

What a disgusting way to ruin the reputation of two fantastic dentists by electing to assume an association with them, as a new trading dentist practicing at their previously located premises.
