"Sent to a and e by doctor, waste of time!"

This morning I was sent to a and e by my gp, I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and due to symptoms I have had for 2 weeks the gp was concerned I may be suffering an eptopic pregnancy. I arrived at a and e to be told that i would be examined and scanned to ensure everything was ok, this I was happy with. Blood and urine samples were taken and I was given a head to toe examination. I was then sent to lilac ward, had the same examination again and more samples taken. This all took 5 hours for me then to be told that I wouldn't be getting scanned and would be sent home until Monday. I suffer with anxiety and this has made me feel worse than I already did, my expectations were not set out at the start of the day and I do not understand why I couldn't be scanned today. I was there from 9am until 3pm.
