used to hate hospitals, always felt stressed and in the dark about the treatment. I've just had a complete knee replacement here, it was my 10th operation in total over the course of my life.
I was not looking forward to this at all but I needn't have worried! The care from beginning to end was really wonderful.
If you needed attention, they came immediately when the buzzer was rung. So organised , physics just appeared and did whatever they had to, nothing was too much bother.
X-rays were done quickly, discharge letters and paperwork produced early enough and drugs dispensed without a long long wait (as I've experienced before). The food was fantastic, filling and interesting (and cooked individually). I could not fault this hospital in any way. I was in for 2 nights (discharged a day early). I'm sure my enhanced recovery is totally due to the care I received at The Ridgeway. So, thanks to all the staff there, you are all amazing. I was an NHS patient at this hospital and would elect to go there again for any other operations I might have to have without any fear. Thank you.
"Restored my faith in hospitals."
