(as the patient),

I was visiting my mother on the Wirral when I had an accident on Thursday 2nd August. My thumb got trapped in a car door. Me and my partner drove to Arrowe Park and neither of us could beleive how quickly I was dealt with. After booking in I was seen almost immediately by triage then a doctor and sent straight away for an X-ray the whole visit was completed in just over an hour,

I was booked in for the fracture clinic the following day at 9.45, which was exactly the time I was seen. I had my dressing removed and was given a protective splint. I was on my way back home just after 10.00.

The staff were all so friendly and professional that I just wanted to express how grateful and impressed I was with the care I received. I was only visiting for a long weekend and my visit was not wasted by spending hours in A & E.

We are pleased to hear that you were impressed with the efficiency of the Accident and Emergency Department and Fracture Clinic service, and we hope that you are making a good recovery.
