After being diagnosed with cervical cancer around 6 weeks ago, after a number of investigations (all conducted in a timely manner). I was admitted to the Gynaecological Surgery wards for a radical hysterectomy. The treatment I received was fantastic - I could not fault a single member of the team. I was treated with the utmost dignity and care at all times - which made things a little easier to cope with given this difficult time. The staff could not do more to go out of their way to ensure I was comfortable, and explained everything that took place as and when.
The department are an asset to the hospital, and are proof that the NHS is full of caring and professional care staff (at all levels). I would like to say thank you to the team for everything, and helping to get me started on my road to recovery.
