Had to go to the eye hospital out of hours for severe eye pain and sensitivity to light. I had an awful experience with one of the nurses on duty. Obviously I am there because my eye was in pain and upon examination they were so rude to me. I was struggling to open my eye and they acted in an aggressive nature towards me saying I was being uncooperative, insulted the fact I hadn't used the medication prescribed to me for conjuntivitis incorrectly, as it turned out in fact I have iritis. Anyway I was so relieved to be sent over to the doctor who was lovely and put me at ease. They provided me with the right diagnosis and medication and was patient and understanding to the fact that someone with sensitivity to light does not thrive when light is shown in their eye. A bit of caring from the nurse would have been fine but it made the whole experience awful.
