"Bank holiday exceptional service"

About: Lister Hospital

My father in law was taken ill AM Saturday of May bank holiday. Dialled 111 very helpful sent ambulance which arrived in about 10 minutes.

At A&E he was seen immediately and taken into RESUS where several specialist doctors investigated his condition and determined a course of action wth 3 specialist surgeons and a couple of registers.

The situation was fully explained to us all and the two options and associated risks were offered. My father in law made his decision.

Later that night he had the first of 3 life saving operations over the next 24 hours. The surgeons were brilliant feeding back progress an next steps throughlout the next 24 hours and continue to do so after 17 days in CC where the nurses and doctors are brilliant treating him with lovely card and dignity at all times. A fantastic medical team !!
